Volleydogs' win streak continues

The Volleydogs added four more wins at home to move their overall record to 19-9 as the season end approaches. On Sept. 22, Hart played Commerce and Madison County in Hartwell. Hart beat the Commerce Tigers easily in two sets, 25-5 and 25-7.

Hart beats Cross Creek 56-0 in first half

In their most lopsided win since 2018, the Bulldogs pulled their starters after going up 56-0 in the first half. The Cross Creek Razorbacks came to Hartwell on Friday, Sept. 23 for Hart County’s homecoming football game.

Hart vs Franklin football game moved to Thursday night due to weather

With the threat of heavy rain or storms on Friday night, the Bulldogs will now host the Franklin County Lions on Thursday for the first region game of the season. The Hart County High School football team will now kick off against the rival Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29.

The problem with Women’s professional sports

It’s clear that in the game of basketball, height gives you an advantage over your opponent. The average height of NBA basketball players are around 6’5” and guys under six feet tall are few and far between. Yet height is a trait completely out of the player’s control.

Hart football to face Cross Creek in final non-region game

The Bulldogs will play their final non-region opponent of the season Friday. The Hart County High School football team will host Cross Creek High School on Sept.  23. Cross Creek is a AAA school from Augusta which is currently 1-3 on the season.

XC Dogs place first, second at Reservation Run

The Hart County Cross-country teams competed against region opponents Franklin and Stephens counties at the Reservation Run. The teams traveled to Stephens County High School on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The boys team took first place in the small meet with a total of 32 on the hilly 5K course.

Lady Diamond Dogs continue to struggle in region schedule

The Lady Diamond Dogs losing streak continued as they faced two more region opponents this week. On Thursday, Sept. 15, Hart hosted Oconee County and lost, 14-7. Hart took the early lead with a run in the first inning, but was soon matched and out-scored by the Warriors.
