Georgia unemployment held steady in September

ATLANTA - Georgia continued to set employment records last month even as the state’s unemployment rate held steady. The Peach State’s jobless rate stood at 3.6% in September, unchanged from August and five-tenths lower than the national average.

Teenager arrested in connection to Elberton shooting

A teenager has been arrested in connection to the Elberton shooting that left 15-year-old Hart Academy student Bry’Shun Jordan dead and seven other people injured. Anderson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jarquavious Demetriun Scott, 18, of Anderson County on Friday, Oct. 18.

Clean, Old Fashioned Hate to be held in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2025

Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate between Georgia and Georgia Tech will take place in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2025. In a letter to Georgia Tech fans from athletic director J Batt, he announced that Georgia Tech’s annual game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be against the Georgia Bulldogs in 2025.

Early voting in Georgia off to brisk start

ATLANTA - Early voting is off to a fast start in Georgia, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger reported Tuesday. As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, about 72,000 Georgians already had cast their ballots on the first day of the early voting period.
