Status quo prevails in Georgia congressional elections

ATLANTA - The makeup of Georgia’s congressional delegation likely will remain unchanged, as voters were poised Tuesday night to reelect 13 of the 14 U.S. House lawmakers and choose Republican Brian Jack to succeed retiring GOP Rep. Drew Ferguson.

Comm. Bennett, Rep. Collins win re-election

Local election results were revealed promptly at the Hart County Board of Elections on Tuesday night, culminating in victories for Hart County Commissioner Michael Bennett and Representative Mike Collins. Overall, Hart County cast 14,447 ballots—78.02% of its 18,517 registered voters.

Rucker earns multiple honors after stellar performance at UVA

After spending most of the season out with a knee injury, a fully healthy Kaimon Rucker had his career best performance to earn him national honors. Former Hart County and current UNC defensive end Kaimon Rucker and the Tar Heels traveled to Charlottesville, Va.
