Reunion will show changes of 20 years

I ’m not old. In March I will be 38, which is getting dangerously close to 40, but I can still say I am in my 30s.  An event this year, though, is definitely sinking in to my brain and giving me the impression that I am indeed aging.

2019 was a good one for Hartwell

What a year 2019 has been.  Even though it is as sure to happen as death and taxes, the holiday season always seems to creep up and surprise us.  It’s as if New Year’s Day shifts right into Christmas and everything in between happened in an instant.

I had two new experiences this past Saturday in Atlanta.  One — I actually attended a live ballet, something I have had very little interest in my entire life.  Two — I went to The Fabulous Fox Theater, something I certainly never tried to avoid, but just had never done.

Color blindness a conversation starter

There are many injustices in this world, but one in particular rears its head in my life quite often.  We, the color blind people of America are sick and tired of not being considered when maps, charts or other color-coded items are created.

Turkey made any way is the way I like it

To smoke? To fry? To roast? Those are the questions. My answer to all of them is yes. I will eat turkey prepared using any of those methods. It is one of the reasons Thanksgiving is easily among my favorite days each year. Let’s start with the smoked turkey.

Golf's culture teaches valuable life lessons

By Jeff Gotham Leadbetter Academy at Cateechee If you look up the word Culture in a dictionary, you will find a variety of definitions. The definition I prefer is, “The set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices which characterizes an institution, organization, or group.
