Thanks for keeping Hart Co. clean

Over the months, we’ve highlighted several organizations who place an emphasis on keeping Hart County clean and scenic. We just want to take the opportunity, whenever possible, to recognize their dedication and emphasize how important that work is.
Sista cat is a good climber, but getting down is an issue for her. Twice I’ve been lifted in the tractor’s bucket to retrieve her. And twice, out of reach, she had to spend the night in the top of the barn. The problem is solved. Grandsons William, left, and Fenn NeSmith helped build Sista a ladder.

A remedy for racial strife in the U.S.

Those who think that they alone have the complete truth in analyzing difficult moral problems, are deceiving themselves. Such a position demonstrates a degree of pride and ignorance that will destroy any hope of successful solutions to the problems at hand.

Moratorium time must be spent wisely

Last Tuesday, the Hart County Board of Commissioners approved a wide-ranging moratorium on new subdivision developments, one which disallows development permits of subdivisions that would be built along county roads. It’s the second county moratorium currently in place.
