Georgia unemployment held steady in September

ATLANTA - Georgia continued to set employment records last month even as the state’s unemployment rate held steady. The Peach State’s jobless rate stood at 3.6% in September, unchanged from August and five-tenths lower than the national average.

Community theatre to host haunted house

For four days only, Hart County Community Theatre (HCCT) is putting on “The Hunt for Harvey,” a family-friendly walk-through haunted house experience.

Commission meeting canceled

The Hart County Board of Commissioners’ Oct. 22 regular meeting was canceled due to “lack of agenda items,” according to a notice posted on the front door of the Administrative and Emergency Services Building.

Pink Partini has“best year yet” 

Through joint collaboration between the Nancy Hart Foundation and Hartwell Service League, the sold-out annual Pink Partini on Oct. 17--which raises money for women and children in Hart County facing cancer--was a success.
