Hartwell teen charged with vehicular homicide

A Hartwell teen has been charged with vehicular homicide, among other charges, after a fatal wreck on Bowman Highway Monday, Nov. 15 claimed the life of a Canon man.

Hartwell residents looking to escape the monotony of home and work life have a new option in town courtesy of Hartwell Escape Room.
Zak Williamson, owner, had lived in Hartwell for eight years and came to the conclusion that residents who did not have access to the lake needed something new to do.

City zoning board tables apartment complex proposal

A developer’s request to annex and zone a parcel off Ridge Road in Hartwell in hopes of building an 80-unit apartment complex and 20 townhomes on the lot was tabled by the Hartwell planning and zoning commission Thursday, Nov. 18.

TREE LIT AT ANNUAL CEREMONY

Hartwell’s annual tree lighting held Monday night brought hundreds downtown to enjoy an evening of family festivities.
Local businesses got into the spirit of things by hosting festive activities and children wrote letters to Santa who arrived on his sleigh about 45 minutes into the event.
