The Hartwell Makers Festival (HMF) is coming back April 9, to showcase the best art and craftsmanship that Hart County and the surrounding region has to offer.
The spring market will have over 40 different local makers exhibiting items ranging from food, furniture, art work and more.

Doula at Hart celebrated the opening of its physical location with a ribbon cutting on March 29.
The agency for birth and postpartum support launched last year and moved into its space at 236 W. Franklin St. in Hartwell in January, 2022.

Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced March 23 that James Cleveland, 50, was arrested in connection with a Hartwell fire.

City applies for designation that would strengthen Archway partnership

The City of Hartwell is looking to gain a new designation through its University of Georgia Archway Partnership.
Hartwell applied to be a Connected Resilient Community, according to Hartwell economic and community development director Jason Ford.
