Hurricane Helene, the deadly Category 4 storm which made landfall in Steinhatchee, FL Sept. 26, worked it’s way through Hart County last Friday. Around 7 a.m. that morning, Helene’s eye passed right over Hartwell’s downtown square.

Hart County snaps an eight game losing streak to Monroe Area with a 28-21 win over the Purple Hurricanes. On Sept. 20, the Bulldogs hosted the Purple Hurricanes of Monroe Area for the final non-region game of the season. Hart County won the toss and differed to the second half.

The Hart County High School boys and girls cross country teams are heating up just at the right time with multiple first place overall finishes. On Sept. 19, the boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Toccoa to compete in the 2024 Reservation Run at Stephens County High School.
