Governor officially suspends county commissioner

Gov. Brian Kemp is officially suspending Hart County Commissioner R.C. Oglesby from office. Kemp will now appoint a temporary replacement to fill Oglesby’s District 1 seat on the board of commissioners, state law dictates. An executive order issued by Kemp dated Sept.

Old method meets new technology in bright idea

Hart County Middle School Teacher Leland Jones is making it easier for students to show their work while doing math on their computers. Jones plans to use the money he received from his Hart EMC Bright Ideas Grant to buy what he described as “slates” for his students.
