Local pair working to ‘give the public back their Cateechee’

Following changes in ownership and management over the last few years, a local pair is working to restore Cateechee Golf Club and the Waterfall Grille back to their original glory.

Chamber moves annual awards banquet up a day to Feb. 21

The Hart County Chamber of Commerce’s 75th annual chamber awards banquet has been moved up a day to Feb. 21. Executive Director Amanda Brown made the announcement  Jan. 25. Brown said the change was due to the original Feb.

Superintendent Jennifer Carter presented a map during the Board of Education’s public hearing to opt out of House Bill 581 Monday that showed which boards of education across the state were holding hearings to opt out of the bill. Counties in green were holding hearings as of Jan. 24 while counties in red were choosing not to opt out. Gray counties were unknown as of Jan. 24. Mat Dogs fail to make State Duals

The Mat Dogs failed to reach the State Duals after placing fourth in the Area Duals. On Jan. 8, Hart traveled to Commerce to compete in the Area Duals at East Jackson High School, after it was originally scheduled to be on Jan. 11 but was moved up due to weather.

Second half woes cause Dogs to stumble into a two game skid

After having the lead entering the second half against Hebron and Franklin, both teams rallied back to send the Dogs on a two-game losing streak. On Jan. 8, Hart hosted the Lions of Hebron Christian, as the Dogs were without their starting junior forward Ramarcus Simpson due to injury.
