I’m dreaming of the “right” Christmas

One of the things I enjoy most about Christmas are the old movies that help put me in the seasonal spirit. And though there are many I like, my all time favorite is Holiday Inn, starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. The best part about the film is the music, composed by Irving Berlin.

If you, like me, sometimes think that members of the human race have been vaccinated against kindness, we’re both wrong. It’s still here. We just need to turn away from all the hate and discord around us—and in our nation’s capital—and look for the goodness in people.

A Merry Christmas to all

As the holiday season unfolds Hart County transforms into the perfect backdrop for the magic of Christmas. Our community  glows with warmth, not just from the twinkling lights, but from the spirit of community that defines this special time of year.
Over 3,200 graduates were confirmed by the University of Georgia during its fall commencement program Dec. 13. Among the graduates were four students from Hartwell.

The University of Georgia confirmed over 3,200 graduate candidates in the class of 2024 during its fall commencement ceremonies held at the Stegman Coliseum in Athens Dec. 13.
