Volleydogs tame tigers: Hart Co. advances to round 2

The Hart County Volleyball team took second in region before winning the first round of the state playoffs this week. The Volleydogs travelled to Oconee County to play in the Area-8 AAA tournament on Saturday, Oct. 16.

Drum majors, captain lead band

By Drew Dotson Staff writer   Retirement is going swimmingly for Steve Schyck in Hartwell after 52 years in public and private education. On most fair weather days, Schyck can be found at the YMCA in Hartwell swimming laps or hitting the pickleball on the court.

Superintendent reports North Hart traffic improvements

A small change at North Hart Elementary alleviated years of traffic headaches on Lavonia Highway. At the Oct. 18, Hart County Board of Education meeting, superintendent Jay Floyd said he has received positive feedback from many people on the addition of an additional car rider line at North Hart.
