Joe Ballenger Joe Edward Ballenger, 70, of Canon, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Ga. He was born on May 14, 1950, in Royston, Ga., son of the late John W. Ballenger and the late Ruby Lois Hill Ballenger.

Steve McCurley Hugh Steve McCurley, 72, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Born on February 25, 1949 in Royston, Ga., he was the son of the late Hugh B. McCurley and Jewell Sanders McCurley. Mr. McCurley retired after 37 years of service from BASF and was of the Baptist faith.

Randy Cobb Randy Howard Cobb, 62, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021. Born on March 22, 1959 in Hartwell, Ga., he was the son of Inez Bratcher Cobb and the late Johnny H. Cobb. He retired after 32 years of service from Royston Mfg. and was of the Church of God faith.

Melvin Williams

Melvin Williams Melvin "Clifton" Williams, 85, of Hiram, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Melvin was born on June 27, 1935, to his late parents, Grady and Bessie Williams.  Mr. Williams was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Hiram, and worked for the CDC for 32 years.
