Matthew D. Pelton, 48, of Carnesville, died Oct. 30, 2021. To honor his wishes, he was cremated and no services will be held. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, Hartwell.

Ira Heard, Jr., 61, of Virginia, formerly of Elberton, died Oct. 25, 2021. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in the Lincoln Heights Cemetery, Elberton. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 until 7 p.m. at Mack’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Elberton Chapel.

Betty Crump, 91, of Hartwell, died Oct. 28, 2021. Graveside services for her and a memorial service remembering the life of her husband, Alton Crump, were held Oct. 31. Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell was in charge of all arrangements.

Jackson Hart, 69, of Danielsville, died Oct. 28, 2021. Funeral services were held Nov. 1, in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel in Royston.

Patsy Carter Patsy Ann Brown Carter, of Baton Rouge, La., passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021, in Norcross, Ga. Born September 1, 1935, in Hartwell, Ga., she was a graduate of Hart County High School.

Shirley Vickery Shirley Sue Yeargin Vickery, 75, of Stillwaters Road, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her home. Born on January 17, 1946 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Bill Yeargin and Minnie Baldwin Yeargin. Mrs. Vickery was an Avon consultant and a beautician.

Beverly Pinyan Beverly Pinyan, 89, of Snellville, passed away September 20, 2021.  She was born to the late Frances and Julian Burns, September 15, 1932 in Decatur, Ga. Beverly graduated from Decatur Girls High School and received a BBA from Georgia College.
