HIS Radio is building for the future

HIS Radio, the nonprofit radio ministry, has officially broken ground on its new home just up the road in Greenville, SC. A part of the Radio Training group of stations, HIS radio began broadcasting back in 1983 in a small 1700 sq. ft. house.

Kemp wants to accelerate state income tax cuts

ATLANTA – Gov. Brian Kemp said Monday he will ask Georgia lawmakers to provide additional tax relief during the upcoming legislative session by accelerating a state income tax cut lawmakers adopted last year. House Bill 1437 set in place a reduction in the state’s income tax rate from 5.75% to 4.

Kemp extends suspension of state gasoline tax

ATLANTA – Gov. Brian Kemp extended the temporary suspension of the state sales tax on gasoline and other motor fuels Wednesday, citing ongoing high prices and uncertain economic conditions. Kemp signed an executive order extending the suspension through Nov.

The Georgia High School Association unanimously votes to allow high school athletes within the state of Georgia to make money off of their name, image, and likeness (NIL). The GHSA state executive committee held its annual fall meeting Oct. 2 in Macon.

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) reclassification committee met Sept. 1 to announce their initial changes about the rules for reclassification. Reclassification can always be tricky. But the biggest news that everyone knew was coming, was the elimination of Class AAAAAAA (7A).

Body of missing man believed to be found

A body found in Lavonia could be missing White County resident Douglas Cordell Barnes. On Monday, Sept. 4, the Lavonia Police Department reported they were investigating the death of an unidentified person found in Lavonia.
