Happy 50th Birthday, Mama!

Tomorrow, April 11, is my Mama’s birthday. Angela Lynn Leopard Scoggins was the firstborn child of Roger and Gail Leopard (whose birthday is April 12 – Happy Birthday, Nanny!) She grew up in the Airline community and was homeschooled along her three sisters.

Pollen season has arrived, but how long will it be here?

Submitted by Sierra Burke Local Columnist   As Georgia quickly turns green and flowers begin to bloom showing that Spring has finally arrived, the clouds of pollen are also descending upon us. The onset of pollen season always seems to hit hard, going from zero to one hundred in record time.

Springtime makes me smile and sneeze

Ahhhhhhh, April is here. What’s your favorite season of the year? Each has its highlights, but I vote for springtime. Spring is when you can shuck your sweater and feel the warmth of what’s to come. Well, let me back up. Spring flirted with us in mid-March.
