Opinion: Let the morning madness commence

Is it just me, or are summers now moving at the speed of light? I swear I just blinked and we went from “Yay, no more school!” to “Wait, what do you mean it’s the first week of September?”   It could be because my kids are older now and their summer social calendars are irritatingly busy.

By Dan Moorhead Local Columnist   Back in the 60s, some of my peers said not to trust anyone over 30. They said that folks reaching that level of maturity had been brainwashed and had become part of the “system.”

By Lorin Sinn-Clarke Local Columnist   When Mr. Clark and I bought our lake house near Hartwell 10 years ago, we had not yet visited Hartwell. We put the offer in on our cozy log cabin on four acres because of the cozy and the four acres.

I’ll be honest with you: My transition to Hart County orange wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be.    It may be because I’ve actually worn orange before.    Shocker, right?    This Elbert and Franklin county-raised girl should’ve never had a piece of orange clothing in her wardrobe.
