Sandra Matthews 
Sandra Sharpe Matthews, age 73, of Hartwell, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial.
She was born on August 11, 1947 in Letcher County, Ky., to the late Walter Sharpe and Nora Pratt Sharpe. She was a retired beautician and member of the Church of Christ. Sandra and Don lived in Ft. Pierce, Fla., before moving to Hartwell in 2000.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Donald Matthews of the home; children: Travis Matthews of Hartwell, Melissa King of Vero Beach, Fla., and Shane Matthews of Pickens, S.C.; siblings: Maxie Webb of Jenkins, Ky., Carolyn Varson of Pound, Va., and Nan Scarlett of Cookeville, Tenn.; grandchildren: Vanessa White, Mason Matthews, Carrie Troska and Mackinley King and a great-grandchild, Titus Troska. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: James Sharpe, Edward Sharpe, Herbert Sharpe, Victor Pratt, June Varson and Gertrude Chamberlain and great grandchild, Tristan White.
A memorial service honoring the life of Sandra Matthews will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 28, from Hartwell Church of Christ. Minister Aubrey Prestridge will officiate.
All arrangements are under the care and direction of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
