Mrs. Jo Beth "Betty" Boleman Bishop, age 91, of Hartwell, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born August 27, 1929 in Hart County, Ga., to the late John Boyd Boleman and Gladys Fleming Boleman. She was a homemaker and a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Betty is survived by her children: Johnnie Sue (HD) Sanders, Wanda Jordan and Peggy (Herman) Wood all of Hartwell; sisters: Shirley Porter of Williamston, S.C. and Ruby Ann Preacher of Hartwell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Thomas R. Rowland and Columbus L. Bishop; son, Tommy Rowland and brothers: James Boleman and Kenneth Boleman.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Reed Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Grant Myerholtz and Dr. Donald Little officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E Johnson Street, Hartwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
