Duck hunting season begins Nov. 23

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division (WRD) has announced the opening of Georgia duck season on Nov. 23. The WRD also announced a special early opportunity hunt available for youth under 18, active military, and veterans on Nov. 16-17.

Angel Tree to help foster children

The 13th annual Angel Tree project will return to Hartwell later this week. This year, Hartwell is looking to sponsor over 100 foster children from the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services from right here in our local community.

Hartwell Police partner with Toys for Tots

The Hartwell Police Department is partnering with the United States Marine Corps Reserve this holiday season for their annual Toys for Tots campaign, and they are calling on the local community for help. Holiday wishes come true because of you,” Lieutenant Darin Rucker said.
