William Walter Kittrell
William Walter Kittrell was born in Columbia, S.C., on January 6, 1932 and passed away on January 16, 2021 at the age of 89. 
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Fulmer of Canton, Ga, his parents, Ulysses L. Kittrell of Columbia, S.C. and Erlene Hanberry Kittrell Clegg of Murfreesboro, Tenn. He is also predeceased by a sister and her husband, Jackie Elaine Kittrell and John "Max" Maxwell of Eagleville, Tenn,; and a half-brother Harry Motte Timmons of Orlando, Fla. 
Bill graduated in 1951 from Dreher High School where he was a member of the track team and Treasurer of the student body. He married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Fulmer on December 23, 1951. Bill was drafted into the Army three weeks after he and Nancy married and was stationed in Germany. After Bill was discharged, he attended and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. 
In 1957 they moved to Greenville, where Bill worked for Cryovac for 10 years. In 1969 Bill and family moved to Hartwell, Ga. where Bill accepted employment with Royston Corporation in Royston, Ga., where he served as Vice-President and Treasurer. He loved Hart County High School football games and was a member of the Touchdown Club. He also enjoyed his three-mile walks with the neighbors' dogs following along. Bill was active in the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed reading fiction, historical and political themed books. He kept a copy of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution beside his favorite chair. 
In 2006 Nancy and Bill decided to leave Hartwell where they had lived for 37 years and moved to Canton to be closer to some of their children and grandchildren. In 2015, they moved to Winnwood Retirement Home in Marietta. 
Bill is survived by his children: sons, William Walter Kittrell, Jr. lrmo, S.C., and James Charles Kittrell of Montgomery, Ala.; daughter, Kristi K. Madden (Jack D.) of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren: William W. Kittrell, III, Danielle K. Perry (Brandon), Caroline Grace Kittrell, James D. Madden, Joshua S. Madden, and Joy Q. Madden; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Margaret Ann Peggy F. and her husband Robert S. Smith of Winder, Ga.; nephews and nieces; Cmdr. Robert Smith of the U.S. Navy (Dana), Bradley Smith, Esq. (Christine), Shelley S. DeChicco (Rob); Dr. Judie M. Maxwell, Harry M. Timmons, Jr., Gary A. Timmons, Shari T. Stephens. 
Bill's family was very dear to him and enjoyed all the special times they shared at their home on Lake Hartwell and the special times at Hilton Head, S.C. for holidays at Easter, Thanksgiving, and summers.
