Shirley Sartain
Mrs. Shirley Ann Burell Sartain, 79, of Dahlonega, passed away on May 15, 2021. Mrs. Sartain retired from Hart County School Systems where she worked as a lunchroom supervisor. She was very proud of being able to increase the amount of cafeteria sales because of her cooking ability. Mrs. Sartain was a member of Dahlonega United Methodist Church and also a Red Hat Lady. She enjoyed traveling as she and her husband William have taken many trips over the years with never an itinerary.
She was preceded by her parents, Herman and Emma Mae (Rider) Burell and her sister, Wanda Adams.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years William Oscar Sartain; son daughter Benjamin (Kim) Sartain of Cleveland; daughter, Sonya Sartain of Stockbridge; grandchildren: Abbey, Hoyt, and Kate Sartain. Other relatives also survive.
The family received friends on Tuesday May 18. Service was held at 2 p.m. Interment followed at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford.
