Mrs. Patricia "Patsy" Patten Bailey, 79, of Mount Olivet went home to our Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 12, 2019. 
Born on March 1, 1940, in Franklin County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Nathaniel Patten and Roxie Payne Patten. Patsy retired from Milliken and Company as an inspector. She was an active member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church, attending the Dolly Teel Sunday School Class and participating in Women's Missionary Union.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Franklin Bailey. She was the loving mother of Susan Bailey (Harold) Harbin, Tonya Bailey (Daniel) Bridges, niece Tammy Dawn Childs, and the late David Kenneth Bailey. Her grandchildren include Kevin Edward (Beth) Allen, Garrett Daniel Bridges, Brooke Amanda Bridges, Jordan Elijah Bridges, and Luke Ian Bridges. Great-grandchildren include Blaire Hayden Allen and Brynn Holland Allen. Patsy is predeceased by all of her siblings: Charlie Patten, Jewel Adams, Benjamin Patten, Carroll Patten, Katherine Adams, Rachel Royston, Wilda Murphy, Virginia Brooks, Aldyne Childs, Richard Patten, and Talmadge Patten. 
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, October 14, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Hartwell with the Rev. Jason Webb and Rev. Caleb Bond officiating. Burial followed in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
