Nancy Sue Jones Snow, 83, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens.
Born on March 15, 1938 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Harold Cleo Jones and Ethel Sara Sanders Jones. Mrs. Snow was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and director, training union teacher, WMU director, assistant treasurer, choir member and also a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church for many years. 
She retired from the Dot Drivers Leasing as regional manager in Nashville, Tenn. in 1989. She was an organizer, while living in the Atlanta area she helped organize the DeKalb 76'ers CB Club, where she was project and jamboree chairman. After moving back to Hartwell in 1994, she organized a Gospel Jamboree in May of 1994. In October of 1994, Mrs. Snow organized the first ninth grade class reunion of the Reed Creek School, and in October of 1995 she organized Reed Creek School Day.
She is survived by three sons: Tom McCurley (Becky) of Newborn, Roger McCurley (Tina) of Decatur, and Brad McCurley (Lynn) of Clarkesville; six grandchildren: Chad McCurley, April Brown, Danielle Sanchez, Karen Anderson, Tabby Jaques, and Dylan McCurley; 14 great-grandchildren: Brannon, Reiley, Aiden, Sage, Mason, Bradley, Carson, Izzy, Declan, Kira, Luke, Jasmine, Trey and Maranda; one great-great grandchild, Mason; one brother, Frank Jones (Gennie) of Hartwell; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. Mrs. Snow was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Lee Snow; one son, Randy McCurley; one grandchild, Dale McCurley; one brother, Harold C. Jones; and one sister, Linda Gale Dean.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, June 26, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Prospect Baptist Church, 26 Welcome Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
