Margaret Heimerich
Margaret Anne Heimerich, age 86, of Hartwell, Georgia passed away September 14, 2020.
Anne was born in Lynchburg, Va., and was a veteran of the USAF. Dick, her husband of 55 years, served in the USAF for 22 years. As a wife and mother she travelled the globe supporting her family. While in Washington D.C. she drove a school bus and took students on field trips to the downtown memorials, visiting the White House on many occasions. While living in Atlanta she worked for the Department of Education and served as a court clerk for Fulton County.
She enjoyed dancing, travel and cruising, bridge club, boating, was an avid golfer, and a renowned Southern cook. She was a friend to many and loved by all who knew her.
Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Richard P Heimerich.
She is survived by her children, Richard P. Heimerich Jr., Charles L. Heimerich and Donna L. Heimerich (husband Stewart C. Smrekar); and her granddaughter, Mollie McCormick (husband Chaz McCormick).
A private family service and celebration of life will be held in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
