Mabel Vaughn
Mabel Conwell Vaughn, 68, of Goldmine Community, Royston, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her home.
Born on January 5, 1953, in Elberton, she was the daughter of the late James Willie Conwell and Inez Dunbar Conwell Dickerson. Mrs. Vaughn was a retired poultry and cattle farmer, co-owner of K & M Farms. She was a member of the Rock Branch Baptist Church and former member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Greg Vaughn (Krystal), Rev. Kevin Vaughn (Leanda) all of Royston; one brother, Norris Conwell of Hartwell; one sister, Carol Hall of Bowman; grandchildren: Anthony Vaughn, Kerri Albarran (Sergio), Kaden Vaughn, Tanner Vaughn and Saylor Vaughn.  Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Vaughn and one sister, Ruth Sayer.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday, August, 20, at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Vaughn and Rev. Reggie Vaughn officiating. Burial was in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 105 West Park Drive, Suite C, Athens, GA 30606.
