Libby Jean Teasley
Libby Jean Norris Teasley, 90, of Cedar Street, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
Born on June 10, 1930 in Anderson, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Carlton L. Norris and Dollie Thrasher Norris. Mrs. Teasley was formerly employed at Dunlop Sports and Bellcraft Mfg. Companies. She was a caregiver to her parents and a brother and in her later years met and married the love of her life, Roy Lon Teasley. She also loved spending time with her family cooking, fishing, gardening, and listening to gospel music. In the later years of her working career she kept children in her home that became like her own children. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Survivors include a large number of nieces and nephews who dearly adored her.  Mrs. Teasley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy L. Teasley; five brothers: Floyd Norris, Morris Norris, Tom Norris, Frank Norris, Boyd Norris and one sister, Ruby Teasley.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with the Rev. Terry Meeks, Rev. Ken Brewer, and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.  
Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy., Hartwell, GA 30643.
