Helen Jayne Youngblood Cape, 76, of Cedar Street in Hartwell, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at AnMed Health.
She was born in Suwanee, on August 29, 1944 to the late William Garnet Youngblood and Carrie Smith Youngblood. She was retired from the garment industry and loved baking cakes for family and friends as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Reggie (Mary Jane) Rowland; step-children, Judith Cape, Ricky (Teresa) Cape and Lecia (Barry) Wilson; siblings, Ann Culpepper, Betty (Rev. Lamar) Purcell, Rev. Larry (Margaret) Youngblood and Beth Beck; grandchildren, Scottie, Aaron and Elisha Rowland, Jennifer and Matthew Cape, Kaleb and Noah Cobb along with 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Omer Cape, siblings, Jean Hanley and Mary King.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, February 13, in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with the Rev. Sam Duncan, Rev. Larry Youngblood, Rev. Lamar Purcell and Rev. Aaron Rowland officiating. Burial was in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery. 
The family entrusted Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St., Hartwell to arrange her services.
