Freddie Manley 
Freddie Joe Manley, 84, of Lavonia, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at AnMed Health. 
Born April 2, 1936, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late William "Buster" and Jewell (Jones) Manley. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He worked for a time with the Carpenters Union in Atlanta and then returned home to work in law enforcement. He worked extensively in Elbert, Franklin, Hart, and Stephens Counties and later retired from the Lavonia Police Department after many years of honorable service. He was a dedicated member of the Lavonia Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda M. Kelley. 
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Taylor) Manley; daughters and sons-in-law: Krysti and Richard Westbrook, Beth and Bruce Taylor, and Leah and Nathan Skelton; step-son, Troy Taylor grandchildren: Kyle and Melanie Westbrook, Seth and Ashley Westbrook, Jonathon and Jami Taylor, Erin and Cody Byrum, Drew and Paige Cole, Reed Skelton, and Gage Skelton; and great-grandchildren: Max, Slate, and Abe Westbrook, Skylar Westbrook, Nolan and Falon Taylor, Deegan, Maddox, and Witten Byrum, and Grasyn, Gunner, and Laney-Raine Cole.
A private family service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, at the Lavonia Church of God with the Rev. Adam Tripp officiating. A graveside service was held at 2:45 p.m. at the Lavonia City - Burgess Cemetery. His grandchildren served as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Lavonia Church of God.
