Billie Dean O'Barr Hovey, 92, of Houston, got her angel wings on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in Houston, Texas.  
Born in Hartwell, Ga., on February 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Pat and Sula O'Barr. She spent her last 15 years living with her son Tommy Ilic and wife Glenda in Houston. She enjoyed her family, dancing, country music, reading and her Sunday School Class at Oak Forrest Baptist Church in Houston. Her favorite scripture was John 14:1-4, which gave her comfort.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Pauline Hutcherson and Patricia Best, and brother Kenneth O'Barr.
Billie is survived by her son, Tommy Ilic and wife Glenda; granddaughters Jennifer Townsen and husband Paul, Leah Sharpe and husband Joey; six great-grandchildren Noah, Mason, Presley Thomas, Madalyn, Mackenzie, and Tristan; nieces Belinda Baldwin, Debbie Wilbanks, Peggy Hunt, and Joyce Marczak; and nephew Ronnie and Kay O'Barr.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at the Reed Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Boyd officiating. Burial was in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
