Betty Brown
Betty Jean Williams Brown, 79, of Canon,  passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at her home. 
Mrs. Brown was born in Royston, on September 7, 1941, daughter of the late Ralph O. Williams and the late Elise Carey Williams. She was a teacher having worked at Eagle Grove Elementary School and was a member of the Goldmine Pentecostal Holiness Church. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry F. Brown and Paul K. Barnes; and brother, Ralph Carey Williams. 
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Herrman Augustin of Royston; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Marie Brown of Canon, and Alan and Kasie Brown of Danielsville; grandchildren, Beth and Burton McCausey, David Brown, Austin Brown and Abbi Brown; and eight great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 4 p.m. Friday, August 6, with the Rev. Fred Greenway officiating. Interment followed in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park in Hartwell. 
Memorials may be made to the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter or to the Gideons International. 
Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston was in charge of arrangements.
