Barbara Fabian
Barbara Rupert Fabian, age 95, of Pompano Beach, Florida and formerly from Hartwell, Georgia, died June 5, 2021 at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hutchings Fabian; her son, David Rupert Critchfield; brother, Roy M. Rupert, Jr.; and sisters, Betty Turner and Dorothy Stevick. 
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Roy M. Rupert, Sr. and Charlotte McQuaig Rupert. Barbara loved her pink house on Benson Street, where she tended her garden and enjoyed the company of her bridge groups and other friends. Mrs. Fabian was a member of Hartwell Presbyterian Church and Hartwell Golf Club. 
Mrs. Fabian is survived by Anne C. Jordan of Covington, Ga., Richard H. Critchfield and his wife, Christine, of Delray Beach, Fla., Dessie Irvin and her husband, Jack, of Cornelia, Ga., Jeffrey Fabian and his wife, Myra, of Birmingham, Ala., Christopher Fabian and his wife, Tanya, of Fort Collins, and by five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 
Memorial services will be held at a later date followed by entombment at the Garden at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Reed Creek.
The family suggests that contributions be made to The Salvation Army in Hartwell or to Hart County Animal Rescue, Inc.
