Annette O'Barr
Mrs. Julia Annette Brown O'Barr, 79, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia.
Born on September 16, 1941 in Royston, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Julian Allen Brown and Jenelle Maxwell Brown. Mrs. O'Barr was a para-pro at Mt. Olivet Elementary School, and a full-time nanny. She was also a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons: Craig O'Barr (Terri) of Canon and Chris O'Barr (Charlene) of Hartwell; two sisters: McCrea Yarbrough of Bowman and Connie Wiley (George) of Duluth, Ga.; and five grandchildren: Ryan O'Barr and Jessica and their children: Weston and Riverlee, Brittany Brown and Michael and their son: Kyler, Tiffany Yeomans, Mick White and Hannah and their children: McKinley and Margo, and Max White and Jessica and their children: Macon and Macy. Mrs. O'Barr is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Harold O'Barr.
Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.  They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks. The family is at their respective homes.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 11, at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with the Rev. Jason Webb and Rev. Riley Shelton officiating.
