Anna Roukoski
Mrs. Anna Gowder Roukoski, 91, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
Born on December 16, 1928 in Royston, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Glen H. Gowder and Nettie Dean Gowder. Mrs. Roukoski was a retired LPN from Hart County Hospital and Heritage Inn Nursing Home (Hartwell Health & Rehab), and she was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her son, Glen "Chip" Gowder of Hartwell; two sisters: Mary Ann Smith and Mildred Mattox, both of Elberton; two grandchildren: Cassie Gowder and Russell Hunt; and two great-grandchildren: Grayson Bennett and Logan Bennett. Mrs. Roukoski was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude E. Roukoski; and one sister, Katy Turner.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with the Rev. Terry Meeks and Rev. Eric Moran officiating. Burial was in the Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell Health & Rehab Activity Fund, 94 Cade St, Hartwell, GA 30643.
