Ann Heaton Temple, 87, of Hartwell, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, December 11, 2020.
She was born April 21, 1933 in Orlando, Fla., to the late Charles Rufus Heaton Sr. and Dollye Estes Heaton.
She attended Hartwell High School and received her GED in 1973, the same year that she celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary, became a grandmother, and celebrated her 40th birthday. She was employed by Hartwell Company from 1954-1995 and also worked at Hartwell Wal-Mart, where she retired after 17 years.
She was a faithful charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she was a member of the senior group, The Solid Rocks, the Flower-Ladies Missions and a member of the Ladies 2/3 Life Group.  She loved her church family and enjoyed visiting shut-ins and the sick, always taking them a homemade friendship cake. She also enjoyed fellowship with her Red Hat Society.

York, whom she lovingly called her other sister. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Temple; and brother, Charles R. Heaton Jr.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Meeks and Rev. Todd London officiating. Burial was in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
