Alton Jordan
Alton O'Neal Jordan, 96, of Royston, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at the St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.
He was born on June 7, 1924, in Royston, the son of the late James Gordon Jordan and the late Mattie Seigler Jordan. He was a night watchman having worked at Johnson & Johnson and was of the Baptist faith. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Allen Roper Jordan; brothers, Thomas Franklin Jordan and Penic Jordan; and sisters, Rachel Jenkins and Marietta Bryant.
Survivors include his step-daughters and their husbands, Joanna and Jerry Hall of Royston and Jan and Mike Black of Hartwell; two step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren. 
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, in the Franklin Memorial Gardens-South with the Rev. Dale Carson officiating. The family is at their respective homes.
