Alice Ruth Adams Shiflet, 103, of Fort Valley Ga., formerly of Hartwell, passed away April 7, 2021 at the Church Home in Fort Valley.  
Born in Hart County on May 26, 1917, she was the widow of Ira Neal Shiflet and a daughter of the late Mallory and Patty Bray Adams. She worked several years at Hartwell Garment Company and retired from Elberton Manufacturing Company after working there for 17 years.  She was a Christian.  
She is survived by a son, Wayne and daughter-in-law Linda Bronkar Shiflet; sister, Eulaine Thomas; three granddaughters: Elizabeth Alexander (Danny), Pamela Price (Anthony), Cathy Fortson (Steve) and eight great-grandchildren: Magdalen Dreigh Alexander, Kenzie Anderson, Riley Anderson, Rebekah Price, Alexis Price, Brandon Fortson, Stephanie Fortson, and Mallory Fortson.  She was preceded in death by brothers: Donald M. "Don" Adams and Oren Adams; sisters: Dallas Cordell, Troyce Clark Jones, Sara Bannister, Sue Nell Vickery, Janette McCormack and Geneva Cordell; and a great-grandson, Taylor Jeffreys. 
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 10, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with the Rev. Sam Gray officiating. Burial was in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
