“The Miracle Worker,” written by William Gibson, tells the true story of how Helen Keller, who was left blind and deaf after a terrible fever as a baby, learns to communicate and forge relationships with others thanks to the help of her teacher, Annie Sullivan, who is half blind herself.
The three-act play was originally produced in 1959 and won a Tony Award for best play in 1960.
The local production includes an all local cast of 18 that includes people of all ages.
