Hartwell Tailspinners
The Hartwell Tailspinners invite the community to celebrate World Radio Control Aviation Day with an open house, Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the flying field, located at 511 Landfill Road.
Visitors will have an opportunity to experience the world of radio-controlled aviation, including flight demonstrations featuring a variety of RC aircraft; static displays of radio-controlled airplanes; hands-on simulator flying; information about the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA); and an opportunity to meet local RC aviation enthusiasts and ask questions.
The event is open to the public, and no previous experience with radio-controlled aircraft is required.
Whether you are an experienced pilot, aviation enthusiast or simply curious about how radio-controlled aircraft fly, the Hartwell Tailspinners invite you to come out, learn more about the hobby and discover the fun of RC aviation.
