A Hartwell native plans to become a candidate for Hart County Tax Commissioner and challenge the newly appointed Karen Martin for the seat.
Brad Goss, 53, of Hartwell, said he is running for the position with the intention of increasing the level of professionalism and customer service in the commissioner’s office and to foster a strong working relationship between the office and the Hart County Tax Assessors office.
Goss has worked as an appraiser for the county for the past 14 years and said he sees how important the two offices are in ensuring Hart County residents are treated fairly and honestly.
