The Hartwell Police Department was honored as the Northeast Traffic Enforcement Network’s (NETEN) “Agency of the Year” by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety last Thursday. NETEN consists of agencies in Hall, Jackson, Banks, Stephens, Rabun, Franklin, Hart, Forsyth, White and Habersham counties. Asst./Clerk of Municipal Court Renae Pierce, who Davis commended for her excellent reporting skills and said played a major role in receiving the award.
