Winter clothing drive deadline set for Saturday

Hart County Middle School student and junior 4-H'er Nakalegh Cromer is sponsoring the winter clothing drive again this year.

This project will provide needed new clothing, shoes and coats to foster children in Hart County. Every year, foster children ask for basic clothing items for Christmas instead of items they really want because the need is so great.

Cromer is asking the community to purchase new clothing items and shoes from newborn sizes to adult large and drop them off at the Bell Family YMCA. Tops, jeans, pajamas, socks, underwear and coats are very much appreciated. The items will be distributed to foster children by the Department of Family and Children's Services.

Please bring all donations by Oct. 24 so that the clothing can be distributed before the weather gets too cold.
