The Hart County Charter System is pleased to announce that pre-K and Kindergarten registrations for the 2025-2026 school year will take place in April.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to review the following details to ensure a smooth registration process.
Pre-K registration will be held at the Hart County Agriscience Center (1951 Bowman Highway) on the following dates:
• Monday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and
• Friday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Spanish-speaking interpreters will be available:
• Monday, April 21 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and
• Friday, April 25 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Children must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025, and be Georgia residents to qualify. Due to limited availability, a lottery system will determine enrollment. Children must be present at registration.
Kindergarten registration will take place at each school based on the student’s attendance zone:
• Hartwell Elementary – Tuesday, April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.;
• North Hart Elementary – Wednesday, April 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and
• South Hart Elementary – Thursday, April 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Spanish-speaking interpreters will be available each day from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025, to register for Kindergarten. Children must be present at registration.
Parents can start the registration process online by completing the initial paperwork at www.hart.k12.ga.us/parents/enrollment. However, in-person attendance is still required to finalize enrollment.
Families with children already enrolled in Hart County schools can register through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal by selecting “More” and then “Online Registration” and choosing New Student Registration.
Required documents for registration include:
Pre-K registration:
• Original birth certificate (no copies)
• Your child
• Parent/guardian picture ID
• Georgia certificate of immunization (Form 3231)
• Child’s original Social Security card
• Proof of residency (one of the following): Current (within 60 days) utility bill from Georgia Power, Hart EMC or Hart Communications (landline only), property tax bill or deed or notarized lease agreement.
If applicable, please bring:
• Custodial papers or legal guardianship documentation
• Child’s Medicaid card
• Proof of food stamps, TANF, and/or SSI.
Kindergarten Registration:
• Original birth certificate (no copies)
• Proof of guardianship (if applicable)
• Parent/guardian picture ID
• Georgia certificate of immunization (form 3231) (school booster shot required or in process)
• Proof of residency (one of the following): Current (within 60 days) utility bill from Georgia Power, Hart EMC or Hart Communications (landline only), property tax bill or deed or notarized lease agreement;
• Child’s original Social Security card
• Your child.
