Malachi Thomas who set school records during his time with the Dogs has had a roller coaster of a career at Virginia Tech. Had an incredible freshman year, then battled injuries and used a redshirt a season ago, and is now getting some reps in a loaded running back room.
That hasn’t stopped him from making an impact when his name is called. Late in the fourth, Thomas ran up the gut for a seven yard rushing touchdown to give the Hokies a 55-17 lead, which also ended up being the final score.
