Former Bell’s Shopping Center starts ‘first of many rezones’

  • The Hartwell City Council moved to re-zone the old Bell’s Shopping Center, now home to Ace Hardware, from heavy industry (M-2) to general business (B-2). The council approved this with the condition that any future development on the property will be placed, at least, 50 feet back from Athens Street.
