Scarecrow activities will fill downtown Hartwell this Saturday, Oct. 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Scarecrow Saturday is a special day for all Scarecrow friends! Downtown Hartwell will be filled with families and friends celebrating the handiwork of so many businesses, individuals and clubs.
Free kids crafts, face painting and balloon twisting stations will be hosted by clubs and organizations. Popcorn will be provided by The Station of Hartwell, and live entertainment will take place at the patio on Common Ground.
Crafts and activities are being hosted by Hartwell Main Street, Hartwell Center for the Arts, Hart County High School Art students and the Hart County Chamber of Commerce.
While downtown, check out the Scarecrow Specials that are being offered by many downtown shops and restaurants all month long! Scan the QR codes on signs around the square for those specials and to vote for your favorite scarecrows!
Visitors can also take in the scarecrow contest on the square. The contest sponsored by Downtown Café is themed “Stars, Stripes, and Scarecrows” in honor of America 250. Vote for your favorite scarecrow online at HartwellMainStreet.org, or scan the QR code on the signs around the square.
