The men and women of the Hartwell Police Department, in partnership with the City of Hartwell, will host a Bubba Burger Meal Benefit Sale to support Audrey Segars, human resources director for the City of Hartwell.

This fundraiser will help Segars and her family with medical expenses and lost income during her time away from work.

Segars has faithfully served the employees and citizens of Hartwell for many years, and we invite our community to come together and show their support during this difficult time. She is a proud graduate of Elbert County High School Class of 2003 and a resident of Elbert County.

The fundraiser will take place Friday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hartwell Fire Department at 488 E. Howell St.

Tickets are $8 each and includes a Bubba Burger, chips, dessert and a drink.

The deadline to reserve pre-sale meals will be Monday, July 13. Some meals will be available day-of.

A convenient drive-through pick-up lane will be available on the side of the fire department for those purchasing meals.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit Audrey Segars. Additional donations may also be made through the Hartwell Police Department to support Segars and her family.

"The Hartwell Police Department and the City of Hartwell sincerely appreciate the community's support, generosity and prayers. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in Audrey's journey," Lt. Darin Rucker said.

For ticket information or to make a donation or purchase tickets, please contact the Hartwell Police Department at 706-376-3111, and speak with Renee Pierce or Rucker, or stop by city hall.

"Thank you for your support and continued prayers for Audrey and her family," Rucker said.
