Nestlé Purina Hartwell
Associates from Nestlé Purina’s Hartwell factory rolled up their sleeves on Monday, June 8, to support the Hart County Animal Rescue as part of the company’s 25th annual Purina Cares Day, a nationwide day of service dedicated to giving back to communities.
The Hartwell team brought both heart and hustle, tackling critical needs at the rescue to improve conditions for animals awaiting adoption. Volunteers assembled 40 donated dog beds, pressure washed kennels, completed grounds maintenance and spent meaningful time socializing and caring for the animals.
In addition to hands-on support, the team delivered a donation of toys and financial support to help offset veterinary and medical expenses for animals in care.
“Purina Cares Day is about showing up for the communities that support us,” said Mackenzie Browning, Factory Manager at the Hartwell factory. “Our associates take pride in making a real impact in their hometown, not just through what we produce, but through how we give back.”
The Hartwell factory is one of many Purina sites across the country participating in Purina Cares Day, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and supporting pets and the people who love them.
Supporting Hart County Animal Rescue
Hart County Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need across Hart County and surrounding areas. The organization provides essential medical care, shelter and support for animals while working to connect them with loving, permanent homes.
Community support plays a critical role in sustaining these efforts, from volunteer time to donations that directly fund animal care.
