Christ's Church
A National Day of Prayer service will take place Thursday, May 7 at noon on the courthouse lawn. In case of rain, it will be held at the First Methodist Church of Hartwell.
The event is sponsored by the Jo Harris Women's Interdenominational Bible study, which meets at Christ's Church, located at 1318 Reed Creek Highway.
This year's theme is "Glorify God among the Nations," from I Chronicles 16:24: "Seeking Him in all generations."
Seven Hart County ministers from different denominations will lead in prayer and several patriotic songs will be sung.
