Through the combined efforts of Sacred Heart Knight of Columbus Council and the State Knights Council, along with the support of Respect Life and Hartwell Methodist Church, a new ultrasound machine was purchased for Hart Life Pregnancy Care Center.

Sacred Heart located in both Hartwell and Elberton have been long time supporter of Hart Life. There endeavors have included fundraising through an annual baby bottle campaign, low country boil dinners and baby showers.

Hart Life is the 11th beneficiary of an ultrasound machine in Georgia from the Knights of Columbus Georgia Charities.

"We are incredibly blessed by this new machine," said Tammy Frye, Executive Director of Hart Life. "This machine not only creates amazing images, but it also provides a unique, memorable experience for our patients. Seeing the heartbeat of their child in the first weeks is a miracle like no other. We are so grateful to have this amazing upgrade to our ultrasound program.  Thank you, Knights, for this priceless gift”.

“Ultrasound services can provide reassurance, clarity and hope while encouraging mothers as they begin their journey into motherhood”, said their center nurse, Kayla Coker. “Our first step is to establish a connection, then educate and prepare expectant mothers for their pregnancy, labor and postpartum health.” Hart Life is a center licensed under the care of a medical doctor. Professional sonographers confirm that a pregnancy is intrauterine, detect a fetal heartbeat and accurately estimate gestational age through precise measurements.

All services provided by Hart Life are free and confidential. Those services include pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, pregnancy/parenting curriculum and a baby boutique. Hart Life has been a trusted resource in our community for close to forty years. They provide compassionate care, education and support to families.
